Game of Thrones fans launch petition to completely remake Season 8

At the time of writing it has over 250,000 signatures

A Game of Thrones fan has started a petition on Change.org to 'Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers' that has garnered over a quarter of a million signatures at the time of writing. Started by 'Dylan D', suitably using the image of the Night King as his avatar on the page, the summary reads: "David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. "This series deserves a final season that makes sense. "Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!" The most recent episode of the HBO show, helmed by producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, 'The Bells', was the lowest rated in the show's entire history. With one episode to go for the entire series, it seems clear that GoT will end by bitterly disappointing many of the fans that have followed it through eight seasons. That being said, 'The Bells' had the highest viewing figures the show has earned to date, which will very likely be topped by the grand finale. Game of Thrones wraps up for good this Monday at 2am.
