Friends ‘movie trailer’ is making fans desperate for it to happen

James Dawson

Since it came out on Netflix there’s just one question on everyone’s lips.

It’s been good, hasn’t it, diving back into the world of 90s New York. Hanging out with the gang again: Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Joey and Monica.

The online streaming service picking up the show has breathed new life into the classic sitcom – and it’s also made fans long for a reunion.

Now a trailer has appeared online for a ‘Friends movie’. Watch it here:

Sadly though, it’s not the real McCoy, and is actually made up of cleverly captured shots from the actor’s post-Friends careers.

The compilation has passed over 1 million views on YouTube in just a few days, which at least shows there is public appetite for a reunion.

The fake ad may end ‘coming soon’, but as of yet there has been no confirmation a follow-up is in the works, or even could happen. The best we’ve had is a few hints, including the cast coming together for TV appearances.

In fact, Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe, has said previously that a movie won’t happen.

“It’s been 13 years, 13 years of the same question and right now, or in the future, it’s not going to happen,” she revealed last year.

“And I every time I say that, I get yelled at!”

She added: “It would great. It would be a lot of fun.

So don’t hold your breath.
