Father spots ‘disturbing’ scene involving farmer and sheep on Noddy

James Dawson

Not quite how you’ll remember the show from your childhood.

It’s hard to think of a more wholesome TV duo from back when you were a kid than Noddy and Big Ears.

They were just two friends going on adventures together. Sure, the goblins might have got a bit scary from time to time, but all in all it was nice, clean fun.

So, imagine one dad’s surprise yesterday morning when he settled down to some cornflakes, turned on Channel 5 and spotted this.

“It was on Channel 5 at around 7am this morning – on the kids’ programme, Milkshake,” an unnamed dad told the Mirror.

“It went on for around five seconds. Five seconds of that bloke doing something outrageous to the poor sheep.

“You have to question Noddy’s role in all of this.”

If you’re wondering why the programme looks a little different visually from how you might remember, then that’s because its latest incarnation has done away with stop-motion and is now a CGI animated show called Noddy, Toyland Detective.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time a children’s cartoon has been spotted featuring something ‘inappropriate’, last year a clip from Fireman Sam went viral for similar reasons.

Someone needs to have a word with these modern children’s TV producers.
