But he’s a family man!

A producer from Fast X, an upcoming Fast and the Furious instalment, has claimed that director Justin Lin quit because of frontman Vin Diesel.

Longtime franchise staple Justin Lin announced on April 26 that he would no longer be directing Fast X, which he described as a “difficult decision.” While many initially pointed the finger at 54-year-old Vin Diesel, given the countless reports of his bad attitude, nothing was ever confirmed by Universal, Diesel or Lin himself.

Speaking to NY Daily News, an anonymous producer weighed in on the news.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Lin’s giving up $10 or $20 million,” they allegedly said. “Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn’t know his lines. And he shows up out of shape.”

While the relevant parties have confirmed nothing, that hasn’t stopped Twitter from chiming in.

“He’s not a family man :(,” quipped one fan.

Last year, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson released a vague message explaining his exit from the franchise.

“Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” he wrote. The ones that don’t are too chicken s*** to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April, and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.”

In November, Diesel begged Johnson to return via Instagram, where he wrote: “I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfil your destiny.”
