Everyone noticed this mistake on EastEnders last night

You can't blame them for trying.

EastEnders tried to be more current on Monday night when they included a reference to the winner of The Grand National, which took place at the weekend. As we all know, shows like EastEnders are filmed weeks in advance, so including a topic that's current is rare. On Monday's show, they had two of their characters, Michelle and Patrick, sitting on a bench outside discussing the winner of the Grand National. The only problem was that Michelle's earlier scenes were filmed weeks before so she appeared with the same outfit but looked a bit different due to her hair. Viewers at home immediately noticed that her hair appeared longer for the Grand National scene and then shorter for the rest of the episode. Whoops!
