Have you got a strange rash or an extra limb? Well, get in touch and be a TV star!

E4 is officially reviving the hit series Embarrassing Bodies and they are on the hunt for people to star in new episodes alongside a panel of new medical professionals.

Produced by Maverick Television, the show will feature eight, 60-minute episodes, a new team of experts and hopefully a new cast of people ready to bare all in order to solve their “medical mysteries”.

There will also be pop-up “confessional clinics” across the UK where everyday folks can quiz health experts on anything and everything they may be concerned about.

This new addition to the show will see Embarrassing Bodies doctors focus on major health and sexual concerns with the help of well-known celebrity voices. Worry not though; the celebs will not be offering medical advice and will instead take part in stunts with the vision of drumming up discussion around important topics.

“There is no condition too big, too small or embarrassing for our brand-new team of unflinching experts,” said Commissioning Editor Clemency Green.

They continued: “The original run on Channel 4 made waves in helping to empower people to check their bodies and seek medical assistance without shame, so I can’t wait to once again be confronted, fascinated and informed on the many and varied problems that walk into our new clinic.”

Green also noted that “Doctor Google” tends to be the first point of contact for people with medical questions and we all know how that ends. When your symptoms are a headache and a cold, you’ve suddenly contracted an obscure medical condition only obtainable in the remote regions of the world.

However Embarrassing Bodies hopes to alleviate some of that reliance on search engine diagnostics.

“I hope this new series will offer some comfort, crucial medical advice and encourage them to seek help where needed,” Green explained.

The show will return to E4 in the new year but an exact date has not yet been released.
