The set was neither Raw nor Delirious.
Eddie Murphy returned to stand up at the LA Comedy Store on Thursday night at the request of his friend and Coming To America co-star Arsenio Hall.
The 53-year-old actor made his name with stand-up classics Raw and Delirious in the 1980s but had not performed live in front of an audience for more than 25 years.
However, Murphy delivered a short 10 minute set at the LA Comedy Store in the same week that he was confirmed to play Richard Pryor’s father in a biopic.
Hall tweeted about the event, which wasn’t captured on video (booooooo), before quickly deleting the update.
