Dara Ó Briain provides a masterclass in dealing with internet trolls

Anyone who works on the internet will tell you that the worst part of the job is, invariably, the trolls.

You know the type. Refuse to use their real names, often have a car as their display picture and are unrelentingly and unjustifiably abusive.

Well, it should be no surprise that a funny-man like Dara Ó Briain is one of the best equipped amongst us to handle the haters, as he proved last night on Twitter.

Somebody had a go at Ó Briain over his involvement in the new Robot Wars series, and Dara went and showed him that if you come at the king, you best not miss.

The sickest of burns. Goodnight, sir.

The original offender tried to calm things down and play it off, but Dara O’Brian simply buried him further.

It reminded us of this iconic moment from last year, when Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston produced a mic drop moment following a question from an Albuquerque native.

It will have taken a lot for anything Robot Wars-related to eclipse the all-conquering performance of Apollo, but the new presenter may have just managed to pull it off in style.
