Coronation Street character to ‘suffer heart attack’ and fight for their life

James Dawson

Could it be curtains for him?

A Corrie character is about to prove that it’s not just Pat Phelan that Weatherfield residents have to watch out if they want to avoid a brush with the reaper.

It’s reported that the show’s writers have lined up a medical emergency for a main character, who will suffer a heart attack and end up rushed to the hospital.

The Daily Star has reported that Michelle Connor will discover that Robert Preston is addicted to steroids – and that his steroid abuse will lead to cardiac problems.

Speaking about the storyline, actor Tristan Gemmill told The Star: “It feels topical to be covering an issue like this, especially when we see everything that’s going on in the wider world about what male behaviour has been in the past.

“We’re trying to hold a mirror up to what’s going on and I think the producers have timed it pretty well.”

All we know for now is that the character will end up in the hospital and it is yet unclear whether he will make a full recovery.
