The film has been smashing records

Film fans have been shunning Barbenheimer to watch an Australian horror movie that is being described as “the best horror film of the year” by film critics.

Talk To Me was released in UK and Irish cinemas just a week after Barbie and Oppenheimer got their first airing, but has been smashing records regardless.

The film follows a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand.

They become hooked on the new thrill, but one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

Since it was first released on 28th July, the movie has set a new box office record for Altitude Films, with over £640,000 grossed after its opening weekend.

It has also netted a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score and has received rave reviews from film critics.

Digital Spy says the film will “scare the shit out of you”, while the Independent calls it the “best horror film of the year”.

The Evolution of Horror, meanwhile, goes one step further, saying it is the “best possession film since The Exorcist”.
