Fight breaks out in cinema after parent lets child watch YouTube during Barbie screening

Joseph Loftus

Life in plastic. It’s fantastic.

Barbenheimer is over. But out of the two big films this week you’d probably expect Oppenheimer to be the most controversial.

Considering the plots of the movies, you’d likely think the story of the man behind the atom bomb would be more likely to cause a kick off. However you’d be wrong! As it was actually the story of Barbie leaving Barbie world which caused a violent scene a few days ago when a huge brawl broke out during a screening of the recent hit in Brazil.

Footage of the brawl was shared to TikTok showing a scrap erupting during the credits of the film.

It’s believed that the fight kicked off following a war of words.

Things then naturally escalated when a woman climbed the stairs of the cinema before shoving another woman.

The hand slapping continued to get more and more violent until a man got involved and tried to separate the pair.

The fight is believed to have began because one of the women allowed her child to watch YouTube during the movie on full volume and the other woman wasn’t happy about it one bit.

Funnily enough Barbie was an absolute smash hit in itself earning over $155 million in its opening weekend – massively exceeding expectations.

The Barbie film follows the title character, played by Margot Robbie, and Ken, played by Ryan Gosling, as they embark upon a journey of self-discovery following an existential crisis.

Their crisis begins following their exit from the seemingly perfect ‘Barbie’ world into the real world.

Barbie is in cinemas now. No fighting.
