Chris Martin has been given some sound advice by his 11-year-old daughter Apple ahead of Coldplay’s Super Bowl 50 performance.
The frontman has been advised not to worry if Coldplay’s Super Bowl 50 performance goes wrong – because it’ll only be remembered as an Internet meme.
It’s no surprise Chris and his bandmates have a few nerves – they’re playing to an audience of 115 million viewers.
Speaking to ‘CBS Sunday Morning’, the singer said: “My daughter said the sweetest thing (to me). She said, ‘How are you feeling about the Super Bowl?’
“I said, ‘Of course we’re a little bit nervous.’ She said, ‘Dad, the worst that could happen is that you’ll get turned into a meme.'”
Chris, along with bandmates Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion, will provide the half-time entertainment for the NFL championship final between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos on February 7.
