Charlie Cox to return as Daredevil, Marvel boss confirms
The fans have spoken and they have been heard - rejoice!
Speaking to CinemaBlend, the 48-year-old said, in no uncertain terms: "If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."
While the answer gave no clue as to if, how or when he would return, Feige's words still felt fairly definitive and only added to the current rumours that he will be appearing in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home following some leaked screenshots.
Cox, 38, starred in three series of Netflix's flagship Marvel show, delighting fans before the slate of TV shows which included Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist ended up being cancelled after a drop in quality, audience reception and the expensive licensing meant that each season had to be a hit.
However, despite a perceived wobble in season two, Netflix's take on Daredevil remains a much-loved take on the long-dormant Marvel character and fans have been calling not only for it to be resurrected but for the lead actor to be reinstated for any and all future performances.
You only have to watch the now-iconic hallway fight sequence to see why fans latched onto the dark, gritty and often brutal strand of the MCU, introducing other key comic book characters such as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) and Frank Castle (Punisher).
Although it's arguable that Netflix's Marvel shows tailed off over time, the love for Daredevil in particular never waned and it would seem that the higher-ups heard the fan sentiment loud and clear.
They were on to a winner with Charlie Cox and it would seem they aren't done with him yet.
