Applications are still open for this year’s Love Island

James Dawson

There’s still time for you to appear on the show

Great news for anybody ripped to shit and hungry for fame, although the show started nearly two weeks ago, applications for the ongoing series of Love Island are very much still open according to the show’s bosses.

Obviously, the entire thing isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, the majority of us would likely end up like Alex – salmon-tinted, slightly pathetic figures, ostracised simply for having a ‘normal’ job, unable to get with anything or anyone. But still, if you think you’re up to it, why the hell not.

Yesterday a spokesperson for the show confirmed there would be more contestants to come. Adding that “applications are still open,” meaning the winners of this year’s series could still be stuck in England.

Applications for the show can be made here before the closing date of 13th July 2018 and are available to guys and girls over the age of 18.

The ITV website reads: “ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of a summer of love.

“The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another – but to remain in paradise they must also win the hearts of the public.”

This year’s incarnation of the show is the longest in the series history, going on for a total of eight weeks. Last night two more contestants entered the villa after Hayley and Charlie packed their bags and headed home on Friday.

Ellie, 20, and Zara, 21, already said which guys they have their eyes on in promotional material for the show – with both of them opting for Dr Drip, Alex. That said, they looked a lot keener on Adam on the show itself. Make of that what you will.
