American Horror Story series creator Ryan Murphy has said that the next season will be a crossover of season 1’s “Murder House” and season 3’s “Coven”, as well taking place in the near-distant future. Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates will return for season eight, with it looking likely more former cast members will join the project. “You will see so many fan favorites return that you’ll feel like it’s The Love Boat,” Murphy said last week. “It’s a very high concept. It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it. There’s a huge thing that happens in episode 5.” Season 8 of American Horror Story returns to FX in September.
