It’s the night’s biggest award
Adele has won the Brit Award for Album of the Year for her fourth album, 30.
The singer won three awards on the night, also being named Artist of the Year and winning Song of the Year for ‘Easy On Me.’
The award for Album of the Year is considered the biggest award of the night and is the last prize to be given out, bringing the curtain down on the Brits for another year.
It is perhaps little surprise to see 30 handed the award. The long-awaited album was popular among both critics and fans, reaching number one in the UK and becoming the biggest selling album of 2021 in the country, despite only being released in November.

The other nominees for the night’s big award were Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender , = by Ed Sheeran, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert by Little Simz and We’re All Alone In This Together by Dave.
None of these acts left empty handed on the night though.
Sam Fender was named Best Rock/Alternative Act with Ed Sheeran picking up the award for Songwriter of the Year. Meanwhile Dave won the statuette for Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, and Little Simz won her first ever Brit for Best New Artist.
The ceremony was the first time that the Brits had got rid of gendered categories, meaning that the likes of Ed Sheeran and Adele were up against each other in a number of categories.
Little Simz also provided one of the highlights of the night when she brought her mum up on stage to collect her award with her, having earlier blown the crowd away with a live performance.
Each of the nominees for Album of the Year also performed live on the night.
