While Andrew was not in attendance, Beatrice, 33, and Eugenie, 31, "fully support" him, a source told the Sunday Mirror.
They said: "It's more about them being there for him and supporting him as opposed to questioning him about the case."
"That's not what the family is focused on – it's about survival, protecting the family name and getting through it in one piece. The girls feel their father's name is continually dragged through the mud unnecessarily, when really he is a good egg."
They continued: "They feel the whole thing is an unfortunate business and they don't believe their father deserves what is happening to him."
Apparently, both sisters were "very upset" that their father was unable to join them on the ski trip as they hoped "their children would be able to spend their first ski holiday with their grandad and the entire family".
US Judge Lewis Kaplan has told both Andrew and Giuffre's lawyers that he will come to a decision "very soon". Andrew's legal team is attempting to have the case thrown out on yet another technicality and told the court that Giuffre "needs to lock herself into a story now".
Andrew has even had to sell his £17m Swiss chalet in the hopes of affording his crack team of lawyers. A source told the Mirror that "It is crunch time for Andrew on several fronts".
They added: "He is meeting all the costs himself so he needs to raise cash fast to pay bills which are increasing by the day."
