Peter Kay fans get exciting tour update

Peter Kay has revealed a new batch of tour dates during an appearance on BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show with Sara Cox.

The comedian announced that his popular stand-up tour will be extending to even more cities across the UK.

Since launching the tour in 2022, Kay has taken his stand-up show across the UK and Ireland, performing in cities including Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Belfast, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and London.

The profits from these performances have been donated to 12 cancer charities.

Now, Kay is set to return to the stage with what he has described as a “coastal comedy tour”, bringing his show to Hull, Cardiff, Brighton and Blackpool.

The new dates will support three charities he believes are often “overlooked and underfunded”: The Lily Foundation, Maggie’s and the Be More Laura Foundation.

Kay has said that supporting charities through his tours gives him a real sense of “purpose”.

He will perform both afternoon and evening shows during the new dates to maximise the amount of money raised.

The comedian will also return to Blackpool Opera House, marking a comeback to the town where he performed his famous Top of the Tower show at the iconic Blackpool Tower more than 20 years ago.

Other venues on the extended tour include Hull’s Connexin Live, Brighton’s International Centre and Cardiff’s Utilita Arena.

Explaining why he decided to continue the tour, Kay said: “It’s win win, you can come to the show and help them.”

Tickets for the new dates will go on sale this Friday at 10am.
