Is there an equation for happiness?

Google executive Mo Gawdat believes that he has discovered the secret to a happy life and wants to share it with the world. Gawdat and his son came up with the equation while his son was battling an illness which he eventually succumbed to, and then turned to the equation when his son passed away.
