'Glad to be alive'

Channel 5 presenter Dan Walker has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car while cycling. The presenter said on Monday that he felt "glad to be alive". He uploaded a series of photos of himself in the back of ambulance to twitter and wrote: "Face is a mess but I don't think anything is broken." https://twitter.com/mrdanwalker/status/1627612737252515841 "Thanks to Shaun and Jamie for sorting me out and the lovely copper at the scene," he wrote. "This is my smiling "Thankful for our NHS." We'll be bringing you the very latest updates, pictures and video on this breaking news story." Jeremy Vine, the Channel 5 and BBC Radio 2 presenter who frequently posts videos of his close brushes with motorist while out on his bike, was among the colleagues and fans to wish Walker well.
