This woman freaking out during a virtual reality zombie game is seriously funny

Be afraid. Be VR afraid.

Carl Anka

Virtual reality is right round the corner, and it keeps freaking people out.

We’ve had one dad go peak dad playing around with a Samsung Gear. We’ve had the gentleman who claimed VR porn almost killed him. There was also this fella in Boston who was having a whale of a time gaming.

Our next stop on the march to virtual reality gaming? The zombie related VR freak out.

This week saw staff at Zooka Creative in California try out a couple of virtual reality games in the office. Kitted out with the superb Vive VR headset that handles Steam’s VR games, it was looking all good.

But then came a test drive with zombie filled horror game, Brookhaven VR.

What to know what it’s like to star in your very own zombie horror film? A little bit like this.

Like many a gamer when they first take Resident Evil for a spin, our intrepid hero’s adventure turned into flailed gunshots at missed targets, running away from the action and eventually giving up.

We’ve been there, we still remember the first time we got decapitated in Resident Evil 4 and the screams we gave off. We can only imagine how scary it must have been with the entire game strapped to your face.

This game just to make things clear.

In a lovely twist, one of the devs of Brookhaven, Steve Bowler came to thank the Zooka staff for trying out the game.

VR gaming is real and it’s looking like it will scare the pants off you.

We can’t wait.
