While the shape and size of the iPhone has changed over the years, the home button has been ever present throughout the updates.
But it looks like it's the end of an era, as Apple look set to scrap the home button on their next phone, the iPhone 8.
The much-rumoured removal of the home button has been expected to be one of the big changes to the next phone for some time.
Apple will ditch the button in favour of an all glass front to the phone with a sensor built in under the glass instead of the customary home button.
But this will also signal an end to the fingerprint sensor, as Apple's current system will not work through glass.
The reports come from renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who has shown remarkable accuracy in his Apple predictions in the past.
There's also bad news for those of you hoping for truly wireless charging as it looks highly unlikely to be included in the iPhone 8.
Do you have an iPhone? Does it ever shut down even though you've battery left? Well, Apple have explained why.
