When combined with already available HoloLens technology, Holoportation allows users to see, hear, and interact with remote participants in real time, sharing space and hopefully a laugh or two in the process.
Right now it's unclear if, or when, holoportation will be commercially available, and the special cameras needed are expected to be hella expensive. But in about five years your house might just need a new Holo-room.
Microsoft is expected to demonstrate HoloLens at their Build developer San Francisco tech conference next week.
