The latest Whatsapp update – version 2.12.539 – has some surprisingly useful new features.
Now you can now add the new options of
bold,
italics and
strikethrough to your everyday Whatsapp chat. If that doesn't jazz up your conversations enough you're going to need to get an actual personality.
Until then, revised formatting will allow users to change style within WhatsApp in three new ways. Aimed at better readability, the hope is that these new formats can make Whatsapp accessible to your parents too.

- For bold, add asterisks to either side of your text, e.g. *bold*
- To italicise, add underscores either side, e.g. _italics_
- To
strikethrough text add tildes either side, e.g. ~tilde~
