Company forces buyers to sign an agreement saying they won’t have sex with their new robots

This is just creepy

We’re not quite sure that this is what James Brown had in mind when he sang about being a sex machine.

A Japanese company (where else?) called Softbank has created what they say is the world’s first humanoid robot and has forced new owners to sign an agreement saying that they will not have sex with their new toy.

The clause stipulates that customers must not use the robot – named Pepper – ‘for sexual activity and actions for the purpose of indecent acts’.

Somewhat confusingly, people are also forbidden from the very vague practice of involving Pepper in ‘acts for the purpose of meeting and dating and making acquaintance of the opposite sex.’

Of course, this hasn’t stopped people from already hacking Pepper to give the robot a pair of boobs on its touchscreen, as well as the ability to moan when its boobs are touched.
