You simply have to see how Mario Balotelli goes through airport security

He does what he wants

Even when you don’t have hidden weapons or drugs up your bum, there’s always that uneasiness going through airport security.

You won’t find many places in the world with fewer smiles than the barren wasteland of fun behind that lies behind that conveyor belt thingy.

Every now and then you’ll get one employee who simply loves their job and will exchange a friendly “hello” with you but, more often than not, it’s a case of looking straight ahead and hoping to Christ that the metal detector doesn’t beep.

But life is a little different when you’re Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli is a man who will wear this…

And tweet this…

And hand out fist-fulls of money to homeless people.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City forward is one of the most fascinating men in football because he treats the world like his own personal playground.

And while his antics often get him into trouble, we want to see each and every one of his acts of silliness play out.

The latest came this weekend when Balotelli, currently at Nice, proved that he’s not afraid to be unapologetically himself, even at airport security.

As he and his teammates left Lille, where they had just recorded a 2-1 victory courtesy of a Balotelli brace, he decided to celebrate right through the metal detector.

He presumably flagged it first but, still, impressive to even broach the subject with airport security.
