World champion boxer Gervonta Davis has been arrested on battery and domestic violence charges.
The 30-year-old was taken into custody on Friday morning in South Florida.
He is alleged to have struck his ex-girlfriend on the back of the head and slapped her in the face, causing a cut on her lip in an incident on June 15.
The police report states that Davis was at the victim's home to pick up their children before a verbal altercation broke out.
Davis is then accused of hitting the woman as she tried to get their daughter out the back of his car.
Davis is one of the biggest names in boxing, and has had world titles in three different weight classes.
It's not the first time the Baltimore-born boxer has been arrested.
In 2022, he was arrested and jailed overnight after an alleged domestic violence incident.
He was arrested six months later for allegedly violating a house arrest, and he was reportedly ordered to serve the remainder of his 90-day home detention sentence behind bars.
