People are making some pretty unfavourable comparisons
Will Smith, Nicky Jam, and Era Istrefi’s official World Cup song Live It Up has been released ahead of the tournament in Russia.
Although the official song comes around once every four years, a bit like with Eurovision the expectations are pretty low on this stuff. Previous artists have included Pitbull, R. Kelly, and Ricky Martin – enough said.

You might have thought Big Willy would have been able to win over fans. But, sadly not, with one tweeter even comparing the song to something you would hear at Butlins.

This year's World Cup song clearly doesn't touch Pitbull's 2014 level of greatness. But it's definitely still pretty special. https://t.co/i5FHV8NNnc

The official World Cup song is shit. I'm very disappointed in Will Smith for getting involved. Horror show…

just heard the new World Cup Song, my opinion, its just too much.
Feels like they're trying to produce another club hit..
Where's the good singing part and not the only autotune one?
We'll know you got an outstanding voice, don't be afraid to use it #WillSmith— MultiUncertainty (@HypedFan) May 25, 2018
