West Ham unveil stunning new ‘stealth’ kit to celebrate 125 years

This is class from West Ham United. The gold detailing is a beautiful touch whilst the blacked out lettering really makes the gold pop

What a beauty.

It’s fair to say that West Ham United’s home kit tends to be a bit samey year on year. Don’t get us wrong, the claret and blue staple is an iconic look and one of the most recognisable shirts around (unless you’re David Cameron), but it doesn’t always lend itself to experimentation or trying something new.

Thankfully, that’s what change kits are for. Ahead of the season that marks their 125th anniversary – the club was originally founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks and reformed in 1900 as West Ham United – they’ve pulled out all the stops with an exceedingly stylish new sartorial offering.

The new umbro third kit is a stealth black – which seems to be de rigour at the moment with Barcelona amongst others also going for the dark look – and has sumptuous gold detailing throughout. What’s more the text reading ‘West Ham United’ and ‘London’ has also been blacked out on the crest, which really makes those golden hammers pop.

We’re sure you’ll agree – this will look both on the pitch and just with jeans as stylish streetwear.
