West Ham might be getting a lot of credit for their recent signings, but perhaps it’s a case of learning from their mistakes.
Joint chairman David Gold has already torn into former Hammers striker Benni McCarthy in a very public manner, and now he’s spoken out about another Upton Park flop.
Kieron Dyer arrived at West Ham in 2007, as part of a summer spending spree under previous owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson, but saw his time in London plagued by injury.
And Gold has revealed how much the club spent on the former England midfielder and current I’m A Celebrity… star, who only played 34 times in claret and blue.
