Tyson Fury’s uncle and trainer has revealed when we can expect to see the controversial heavyweight’s comeback.
It’s been just under two years since Fury last competed but he’s never been more serious about making his return to the ring as he eyes a lucrative all-British showdown with Anthony Joshua.
Fury is currently awaiting a UK Anti-Doping hearing so that his suspension can be lifted and his boxing licence returned.
The 29-year-old is currently in the process of shedding the considerable weight he’s put on during his time away from the sport and his physical condition was recently the subject of an uncharacteristic jibe from ‘AJ’.

Despite the simmering bad blood between them and fans’ appetite to see them settle their differences, Fury will almost certainly require one or two tune-up fights before he is given the chance to clash with Joshua.
And Peter Fury has just revealed when we can expect to see his nephew back in action.
“I think April of next year,” Peter Fury told BBC Sport.
While ‘2 Fast’ becomes reacquainted with boxing, Joshua will look at a unification bout against either WBC champion Deontay Wilder or WBO champ Joseph Parker.
And the biggest concern in the Fury camp is that Joshua’s cachet, and potential shine of the meeting of two undefeated English fighters, will be dented if Joshua is beaten before Fury gets the opportunity to share the ring with him.
“The only fear is that Joshua doesn’t get beat beforehand,” Fury added. “That’s the fight the public want to see, that’s the fight Tyson really wants.”
