If you’re feeling a little blue at the start of another week then spare a thought for French fans this morning.
Having thought they’d be waking up celebrating another major tournament success on home soil, French fans instead have to deal with a defeat inflicted by Eder’s extra-time strike as Portugal lifted the European Championships trophy for the first time in their history.
For one fan of Les Bleus it was a little too much to bear, but one young Portugal fan did his best to cheer him up in a truly touching gesture that was captured on camera afterwards.
