But when Roberto Martinez described the 34-year-old one of the best English players ever, more than a few people were left scratching their heads.
Thierry Henry was one such person, and when Sky Sports presenter Ed Chamberlain referenced Martinez’s comments prior to kick-off between Everton and Swansea on Sunday, the former Arsenal captain’s reaction was priceless.
