Islam El Shehaby lost to Israel's Or Sasson in the first-round of the men's over 100kg judo contest, and broke a basic protocol of any sport following the the bout.
The Egyptian blankly refused to shake his opponent's hand, leaving Sasson looking perplexed and prompting boos from the Rio crowd.
We can't judge, for obvious reasons, but the move raised some eyebrows.
