Liverpool blew Hoffenheim away in little over 20 minutes at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Although the Germans pulled a goal back before half-time, realistically, everyone watching the game knew Jürgen Klopp's side had all but sealed their return to the Champions League without a ball being kicked in the second half.
Steven Gerrard, on punditry duty for BT Sport, was one of many in the stadium to have enjoyed the home team's performance. In fact, the former Liverpool skipper was in such a good mood, he even decided to burst into song before the eyes of millions watching the game on television.
Host Gary Lineker explained that Gerrard had already treated those in the BT studio to a rendition of the Sadio Mane song during the first half and invited him to repeat it again with the cameras rolling.
To the surprise of many watching, Gerrard didn't shy away from the opportunity. Admittedly, his performance did only consist of the words "Oh, Mane, Mane," but it certainly made enough of an impression on those watching to warrant - in our eyes at least - a short, sub-200 word article.
Take it away, Stevie...
