As well-timed as one of Keane’s trademark (legal) tackles.
While on punditry duty with his former Manchester United team-mate for Wales’ defeat to Portugal last week, Ryan Giggs was brave enough to have a cheeky dig at Roy Keane and Ireland ahead of the qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup.
We knew Roy wasn’t going to let Giggs’ dig at Ireland slide as easily as that and with an invasion of moths providing an unexpected talking point before the Euro 2016 Final last night, Keane used it as an opportunity to get revenge.
It was all in good fun, of course and when Giggs responded with a tale about lending Keane a car for a week and not getting it back for six months, Ireland’s assistant manager was more than ready for him.
