That's what we thought!
Carrick is a 35-year-old central midfielder who was never known for his sprint speed while Aguero, 28, is renowned for outpacing defenders.
So what the hell was this about?
We suppose Carrick just wanted it more but the fact that Aguero was beaten in a footrace by a midfielder who'd supposedly lost his legs in recent seasons does not bode well for Aguero's chances of getting Pep Guardiola back onside.
It wasn't the most significant moment of the game but it seemed to be a particular highlight for Manchester United fans watching at home.
