Watch Lionel Messi completely lose his sh*t after Sergi Roberto’s dramatic late tie clincher

Can you blame him?

Recovered yet? Nah, us neither.

Unsurprisingly, most of the camera lenses were trained on Sergi Roberto in the seconds after he prodded home Barcelona’s sixth and tie-settling goal against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Most, but not all.

While the majority of Barca players made a bee-line for Roberto, one camera pointed in the direction of Lionel Messi – who instead chose to celebrate the moment with some of the supporters behind the goal.

As the footage below shows, Messi, who was uncharacteristically poor during the first leg in Paris three weeks ago, heads straight towards the fans after quickly checking to see if the linesman’s flag had stayed down.

Leaping on top of an advertising hoarding, Messi savours the moment as the Barca fans rush towards him.

Earlier in the evening Messi had tucked away Barcelona’s third from the penalty spot. Following this, Edinson Cavani looked to have buried any hopes of an unlikely comeback from Luis Enrique’s men with his away goal.

The score remained 3-1 on the night until the 88th minute, when Neymar brought Barca back into the tie with a free-kick. The Brazilian scored again from the penalty spot a couple of minutes later, before Roberto added the finishing touch to an incredible game of football with seconds of injury time still to play.
