WATCH: Jose Mourinho questions media as he makes exit from press conference

Mourinho suggested there was a lack of 'respect'

Simon Lloyd

Anyone would think Jose Mourinho was having a rough week…

The Manchester United manager faced the press on Tuesday for the first time since the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Funnily enough, most reporters in attendance were more concerned with asking questions about the fallout from that game instead of looking ahead to United’s match with Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

As the footage below shows, as Mourinho left the press conference, he asked reporters why they’d asked so few questions about United’s next opponents – suggesting they had disrespected Eddie Howe and his players.

“You don’t like Bournemouth then?” he asked. “You don’t respect them? You don’t think they are a team capable to come to Old Trafford and do well?”

“No respect for Eddie Howe, no respect for the players.”

Although one of the reporters attempts to explain that there’d been little chance to ask any questions about the Bournemouth game, Mourinho was out of the door by this stage.

Have a watch.

It’s all a bit… odd.

United currently sit 11 points behind City in the Premier League table, with Pep Guardiola’s side facing Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday.
