Former UFC champion Rashad Evans loses via brutal first round knockout, gives heartbreaking interview

Former light heavyweight king Rashad Evans suffered his second consecutive loss on Saturday night after falling victim to a devastating haymaker from top contender Glover Teixeira. Teixeira started off the aggressor in UFC Tampa's main event, forcing Evans to backpedal by pressuring him with his constant forward movement. The Brazilian then trapped Evans against the cage, where he caught him with a huge left hook to the chin that dropped him to his knees, followed by a right uppercut that rendered him unconscious. He admitted that the loss was a bitter pill to swallow saying it was "frustrating, it's hurtful, it's totally unexpected, but it's part of the sport." The 36-year-old added that he wants to continue fighting, but he needs to work out some kinks in his game before he can get back to winning ways.

"I want to go back in there and obviously I want to fight again, but there are some things that I want to clear up. There's some things that I need to do to get me back. It's just disappointing because you never know. I was just like, 'Ugh... where did I lose it?'" "Fighting used to come so easy, so natural. Now I feel like I'm fighting against myself and I just need to get back... that thing."
