It took balls of steel for Darren Bent to find the net with this effort at the weekend.
With his Derby County side trailing 2-1 against Reading in the Championship, Bent put his manhood on the line in order to turn their fortunes around.
A blistering cross fizzed across the box toward the striker, leaving him with a golden opportunity to score. The only problem being the awkward height of the delivery meant he had only one viable appendage to strike the ball with - the male one.
Rather than squander the chance, Bent decided to just go for it and direct a shot goalwards with his crotch. The ballsy move paid off as his effort went crashing past the opposition goalkeeper and into the back of the net. It sparked the Rams comeback as they went on to win the game 3-2 and boy was Bent absolutely thrilled with the finish.
Well, this feeling of euphoria was only temporary as the adrenaline dulled and the crippling pain of taking a flying sphere of leather to the family jewels began to set in. His subsequent celebration went south pretty quickly.
