Celtic arrived in Paris knowing their Champions League dream was already all but over.
With four points from their first four games, the Scottish champions were already too far behind Bayern Munich and their group-topping hosts for the evening, Paris Saint-Germain.
Having faced PSG on the opening night of their Champions League campaign, Brendan Rodgers' side knew full well what they were up against. That night, with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe still settling in with their new club mates, the Ligue 1 side recorded a comfortable 5-0 victory in Glasgow.
Many might have expected more of the same when Celtic kicked off at the Parc des Princes. Few would've expected them to score - especially when considering that the Parisians were yet to concede a single goal in this year's European campaign. Yet Celtic did score, taking a surprise lead after just 55 seconds.
A corner was played low to Moussa Dembele, who swept the ball into the far corner.
