WATCH: Captain Jordan Henderson’s attempt to get fancy was the definite lowlight of Slovenia draw

The no-look pass is not a tool he's got in his locker

There was literally no benefit to this no-look pass.

You can understand how certain attempts of the flashy technique can come off as they bamboozle nearby opposition players into thinking you’re going one way before you go the other.

But when camped in your own half, completely unsighted by what’s behind you, it’s probably not the best idea.

It wouldn’t be the best idea for Ronaldinho which means it was the worst strategy possible when Jordan Henderson gave it a whirl.

The England captain for the day bizarrely decided to display some unnecessary flair during England’s 0-0 draw with Slovenia in Tuesday’s World Cup Qualifier.

The no-look pass backfired as he guided the ball directly to the feet of a Slovenia striker who bounded into the English box, only to have his shot saved by Joe Hart, who was sent on loan to Torino due to a supposed inability to play with the ball at his feet.

We’re not so sure Henderson’s mastered the art either, based on the above evidence.
