Onwards and upwards
England made an encouraging start to the World Cup last week with a late victory over Tunisia.
The win, which was sealed by a 91st minute winner by Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, gave England a victory in their opening tournament game for the first time in a decade.
It also gives Gareth Southgate’s side the peace of mind to know that a victory over Panama in their second group game on Sunday will all but guarantee progression to the Round of 16 ahead of the final group match with Belgium.
