Watch Arsenal fans stage Wenger Out protest ahead of Bayern game

A bit much?

What better way to celebrate what might well be Arsene Wenger’s final Champions League game with Arsenal than a good old #WengerOut protest?

Yet again, Arsenal’s hopes of Premier League success are dead in the water. On top of that, their hopes of progressing to the quarter finals of Europe’s premier cup competition also appear to have been scuppered by a 5-1 first leg defeat to Bayern Munich.

Ahead of the return at the Emirates, a gathering of disgruntled Gooners gathered to make their feelings known about their long-serving manager.

Banners and flags – containing messages like ‘Every good story has an ending’ and less kind ones such as ‘Stubborn, Stale, Clueless’ – were held aloft as supporters made their feelings known.

Ahead of the game, Alexis Sanchez was restored to Arsenal’s starting lineup after being benched for the first half at Anfield on Saturday. Since then, reports have claimed that the Chilean is seeking to leave the club after allegedly walking out of a training session in the days before the trip to Merseyside.

Despite holding a dominant lead in the tie, Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti has named a strong side for the German champions, who are obviously taking no chances.
