World Champions Germany welcomed France to Cologne for their final international match of 2017.

Days on from drawing 0-0 with England at Wembley, Joachim Löw's side fell behind after just over half an hour. The goal was scored by Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazatte, but it was created by the skill and quick feet of Manchester United's Anthony Martial. The 21-year-old, who has started the season brightly for his club, received the ball close to the penalty spot after a volleyed cross from Lucas Digne. Shaping as if to try and place the ball into the corner of the German goal, Martial instead chose to quickly slalom around an attempted block tackle from Niklas Süle. With the goalkeeper quickly closing him down, the former Monaco man calmly slotted the ball to Lacazette, who was presented with an easy opportunity to score the opener. https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/930533666794516480 Timo Werner would later equalise for the Germans, only for Lacazette to get a second with little under 20 minutes remaining.
