In case you hadn’t heard, Marcus Rashford is a bit good.

The England international striker might have struggled for game-time at Euro 2016, but he made his Under-21 bow against Norway last night and scored an effortless hat-trick in a 6-1 victory.

He has now scored on his debut at senior and under-21 international level, in addition to his first Manchester United games in the Premier League and Europa League.

Rashford also has an FA Cup goal to his name, albeit in his second appearance in the competition, and you may well have been reminded of that effort when watching him last night.

Fellow United youngster DJ Buffonge certainly was, and the midfielder shared a video of his colleague’s effort with the caption ‘West Ham deja vu maybe’.

And sure enough, when you watch Rashford run at the Norwegian defence before curling an effort beyond Sondre Rossbach, it has more than a shade of the shot he placed beyond Darren Randolph in the FA Cup quarter-final replay back in April.

And now the FA Cup strike, which took the commentator by such surprise that he mistakenly awarded it to Jesse Lingard at first.

That makes it 13 goals in 24 appearances for Rashford, who only made his senior debut in February.

Considering many of those appearances came from the bench, often for less than 10 minutes, it’s not too shabby a record at all.

Oh yeah, and he doesn’t turn 19 for more than a month.
