So manager Pascal Dupraz delivered an inspirational team talk on the eve of the game to stir his boys. He capped it off with a video. Messages of support, of love, from fans and family.
It left tears in the room. It left the Toulouse players with no doubt what they were going out to play for.
2-1 down in Angers, 12 minutes to go. Game over? Season over? No way.
Two goals in two minutes showed the spirit was alive and well amongst the Toulouse players as they came back from the dead to secure a remarkable comeback.
