Some Chelsea fans were disappointed not to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek start against Scunthorpe in the FA Cup, but the youngster made up for lost time.
The 19-year-old came on at half-time and needed less than half an hour to get his name on the scoresheet.
Loftus-Cheek latched onto a low Cesar Azpilicueta cross to drill a low shot past Luke Daniels.
It gave the Blues a 2-0 lead, helping avoid a potential upset in the third round.
