Victor Lindelof was struck by an object while celebrating Manchester United’s equaliser in the FA Cup final.

United levelled from the spot via Bruno Fernandes after Jack Grealish was adjudged to have handled the ball in the build up following an attempted cross by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

After scoring the goal, Fernandes celebrated in front of the Manchester City fans by cupping his ears with his trademark celebration while the rest of the squad joined to embrace him.

Fernandes and Casemiro were passionate in their celebration, prompting an angry reaction from City fans, with one of them taking it too far by throwing an object.

Lindelof appeared to the the one struck and was seen falling to the floor while the rest of his teammates consoled him to check if he was okay.

The Swedish defender was able to get back onto his feet and continued to play in the game.

Ilkay Gündoğan gave Man City the lead after 13 seconds – the fastest goal in an FA Cup final – with a stunning volley to catch Erik ten Hag’s side off guard.

A win for Pep Guardiola’s side would take them to within one game of winning a historic treble and if completed, would be the first English side to complete the incredible feat since their counterparts in 1999.

For United and Ten Hag, victory would ensure a domestic cup double having already won the Carabao Cup earlier in the season.

At the time of writing, the score is 1-1 however Man City have been the more dominant of the two teams.
